The Talk Studio, located in Chicago, is the city’s first psychotherapy wellness studio designed for same‑day appointments. Providing immediate and compassionate care for those seeking support in times of need. Single sessions, short‑term care and long‑term care. Positioned on a vibrant main street, Armitage, in Logan Square our practice is tailored for individuals who cannot wait weeks to speak with a therapist. We value accessibility, empathy, community and connection. And most importantly, wellness over diagnosis.
Role Description Part‑time, virtual or hybrid Psychotherapist based in Illinois with flexibility to work from home or our modern office in Logan Square. Responsibilities include conducting individual sessions, providing same‑day support for clients navigating mental health struggles, maintaining accurate client records, attending meetings, and participating in case consultations. Uphold a high standard of care and professionalism.
This Role Is For
Licensed clinicians in Illinois (LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, PhD, LMFT)
Clinicians working for an agency interested in private practice.
Clinicians available for same‑day openings.
Therapists aligned with wellness‑driven, non‑pathologizing practice.
Warm, friendly, and safe individuals.
Qualifications
Pre‑licensed or fully licensed (LSW, LPC, LCSW, PsyD, LCPC, LMFT, PhD)
Experience in individual therapy.
Known in agency or field as an “excellent provider.”
Knowledge of therapeutic interventions and passion for mental health issues.
Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
Ability to block chosen times to meet with clients.
Valid licensure or certification to practice psychotherapy in Illinois.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in therapeutic practice.
Compensation Part‑time W2 position. Competitive flat‑rate fee for three tiers of sessions based on licensure and experience:
$37‑$40 per 30‑minute session.
$70‑$75 per 50‑minute session.
$90‑$100 per 80‑minute session.
