Hydro, Inc., a Chicago-headquartered global leader in industrial pump reengineering, is hiring a Precision CNC Turning Programmer — Mazatrol for our 2nd Shift. The role focuses on programming Mazak lathes in Mazatrol and machining large, refurbished pump parts to 0.001 inch tolerances.

Pay Range : $30.00/hr – $38.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

Write and modify Mazatrol programs for Mazak lathes to produce custom parts.

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills efficiently and safely.

Complete complex setups on large, refurbished components.

Plan tool layouts and prepare raw material for machining.

Hold 0.001 inch tolerances from raw stock and castings while meeting quality standards.

Interpret drawings with conventional tolerances and GD&T.

Optimize speeds and feeds to improve throughput and part quality.

Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools for in‑process checks.

Compute radii, bolt circles, and key dimensions with solid shop math.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of CNC programming on Mazak lathes using Mazatrol controls.

Hands‑on experience with setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills.

Knowledge of tool selection, layout, and raw material set‑up.

Proficiency in reading prints with conventional and geometric tolerances.

Comfort with precision measuring instruments.

Strong math and problem‑solving skills; team‑oriented and self‑directed.
