The Role As a Consulting Field Solution Architect focusing on unstructured data, you are part evangelist, part systems engineer, and part developer promoting Pure in the technical community. You love sharing your knowledge with the larger community through blog posts, webinars, and presentations, and you enjoy sensing market trends to identify new opportunities, applications, and workflows for Pure. You consult and advise the field and customers on architecting, managing, and scaling their systems, helping with competitive analysis, design, and implementation of successful POCs. You also build prototypes to prove use‑case potential in your area of expertise. You have deep technical experience with databases, software development, performance tuning, virtualization, and possibly containerization, and you are familiar with the ecosystem of software vendors in the space. You are eager to learn emerging technologies and enable the company's digital transformations through Pure’s Data Storage and Portworx.
What You’ll Be Doing
Mainstream Unstructured Data knowledge, including enablement projects to better equip the field to have relevant conversations with customers and prospects.
Participate in customer‑facing calls, demos, POCs, EBCs, QBRs, internal strategy/sizing sessions, and other solution‑focused activities.
Conduct webinars, events, and workshops with Alliance Partners, Channel Partners, Vendors, etc.
Add to Solutions Roadmap participation and influence; converse daily with Solutions Architects and Product Management about field impact, deals, and feedback on existing solutions.
Stay abreast of advancements in internal product offerings, external partner offerings, and competitors’ solutions.
Maintain frequent Slack presence and activity to drive customer/opportunity influence.
Create field‑facing solutions content (technical walkthroughs, deep dives, qualification guides, etc.) for unstructured data (file and object) and common use‑cases.
Partner with Sales & SE Leaders for two‑way feedback and communication related to unstructured data sales motions.
Be a beacon of positivity, inspiring and motivating the field to higher success and attracting customers to Pure technology.
Engage cross‑functionally with other GTM and corporate functions.
Communicate, connect, and align people within the direct team and develop broader internal relationships across Pure Storage.
What You Bring
Proficiency in SMB, NFS, object storage, file protocols, TCP/IP networking, NAS, and enterprise datacenter design.
Deep expertise in unstructured data, legacy challenges, key use cases, solution areas, innovation trends, and industry direction.
10+ years of IT and cloud infrastructure experience across compute, storage, networking, cloud, business continuity, and performance.
Expertise in NAS architecture, design, and solution development for enterprise environments.
Strong customer‑centric mindset focused on solving challenges and delivering meaningful business outcomes.
Experience designing and supporting data architectures for large enterprises.
Fast learner who adopts new technologies quickly and applies innovative, creative thinking.
Exceptional content creation, public speaking, technical training, and presentation skills.
Passion for learning, teaching, mentoring, and coaching others.
Highly collaborative, partnering across organizations—including sales and alliances—to deliver compelling technical messaging.

The Annual Base Salary Range Is $168,000—$299,000 USD
