Senior Superintendent
that is looking for a company where they can learn and grow.
What you’ll do: The Senior Superintendent is responsible for all the field staff on a project and will make sure that projects are built according to plans and specifications. They will supervise work of carpenters, laborers and subcontractors. They are responsible, along with the Project Manager, for having the material, tools/equipment, information and staff requirements on the jobsite in the proper place in a timely fashion. The Senior Superintendent handles all correspondence and forms required by the rand* office, i.e., daily reports, timesheets, safety reports, accident reports, etc. They will monitor the work being performed, direct the subcontractors and schedule all work according to the requirements of the project schedule. The superintendent effectively utilizes management skills in directing supervision of subcontractors and coordinating subcontractor’s activities within the scope of their duties.
Qualifications Qualified Candidates Will Possess The Following
High School Diploma required; two years of college preferred.
Must have 15 years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail or building renovation projects.
Display exemplary performance in all project safety related categories.
Periodically audit jobsites during site walks to ensure standards are being met.
Assist teams with complex and specialty quality control issues.
Assist teams with pre‑punch walks to identify quality trends and ensure smooth/timely punch list process.
Set the example of "do and teach" by training and coaching Superintendents at all levels to meet rand*’s high standards of administration and organization.
Preferred Candidates Will Also Possess The Following
Must have 15+ years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail, or building renovation projects.
Proven track record of independent judgment and decision‑making when faced with matters of executive or non‑routine nature.
Ability to anticipate and be proactive.
Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels.
Able to troubleshoot and solve highly complex project‑related issues with all levels of team members.
Ability to manage deadlines, deliver as needed.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with a strong attention to detail.
