Overview Join us as a Tax Manager and take a lead role in managing our corporate tax function. You’ll oversee federal, state, sales, and income tax compliance; partner with third‑party firms; and provide technical guidance on audits, planning, and reporting. This position is critical in ensuring the company remains compliant across all tax areas while also identifying opportunities to optimize our tax strategy and minimize risk.

Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting

Oversee preparation and review of quarterly and annual federal, state, and tax returns and provisions in partnership with external providers.

Ensure compliance with all IRS and state regulatory requirements and monitor legislative changes.

Prepare income tax provisions under US GAAP and IFRS (ASC 740).

Respond to tax notices, manage filings, and oversee tax payments.

Develop and implement tax‑efficient strategies that support business objectives.

Provide guidance on structuring business initiatives to minimize tax exposure.

Perform tax research and draft technical memorandums.

Manage federal and state tax audits, including data requests, negotiations, and resolutions.

Partner with third‑party vendors to ensure audits, voluntary disclosures, and unclaimed property matters are handled effectively.

Establish and update tax policies and internal controls to mitigate compliance risk.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

Partner with Finance, Accounting, and cross‑functional leaders to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Manage vendor relationships with third‑party tax advisors and consultants.

Support process improvements and participate in finance‑wide projects and initiatives.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

7–10 years of experience in corporate tax, with focus on federal and state income tax.

Strong knowledge of multi‑state tax compliance and sales tax.

Knowledge of unclaimed property regulations.

Proven experience managing audits and working with external tax authorities.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems (Microsoft Great Plains, SAP, or similar).

Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

Experience with ASC 740, IFRS, and GAAP tax accounting.

Prior experience in a large, multi‑entity corporate environment.
