Accomplish You will be assigned work in the Product Support organization performing System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Analysis. You will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem R&M performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that R&M program requirements are achieved. The primary responsibility of the position will be reliability, maintainability, and testability.

Essential Functions

Perform R&M allocations and predictions.

Develop Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).

Perform Built‑In Test (BIT) testability analysis.

Develop mission reliability analysis.

Support the development of teams in the investigation of issues.

Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).

Experience with Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).

Experience with maintainability demonstrations.

Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS).

Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the R&M of assigned subsystems.

You should thrive in a fast‑paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. You must be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers. You may develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs. Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Analyze preliminary plans and develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives.

May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specify minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in STEM and 3 years of engineering experience OR PhD with 1 year of engineering experience.

Experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline.

Ability to transfer and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering Degree.

Minimum 5 years of experience within Reliability and Maintainability discipline.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.

Active, In‑scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range:

$98,400.00 – $147,600.00
