In this key role, you will provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership by aligning technologies with internal and client goals, defining digital delivery scope for project estimates, and coordinating project technical setup and deliverables. As VDC Lead, you will:
Create and implement Design and Construction BIM Execution Plans for EPCM projects.
Integrate VDC tasks including 3D logistics, 4D scheduling, 5D cost/quantity take‑offs.
Administer the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) across design to construction phases.
Kick‑off, manage, and track progress on clash detection; lead clash resolution meetings.
Serve as BIM Subject Matter Expert on design and construction projects.
Coordinate laser scan data integration and facilitate Scan‑to‑BIM efforts.
Manage model redline and as‑built processes; verify construction installation with model‑based practices.
Create project processes and lead mobile device trainings for field employees.
Lead reality capture for progress reporting and weekly remote team reports including 360 photos, laser scans, and drone data.
Act as technology lead, offering field technical troubleshooting and support for software and mobile device applications.
You will also collaborate with stakeholders in business development, proposals, and estimates; manage trade partner modeling efforts; mentor and develop team members; and provide daily on‑site presence and leadership for VDC activities.
Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Proven track record of on‑site leadership of VDC activities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment on a project site and virtually.
Experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems.
Willingness to work on site at a project near Baton Rouge, LA.
Ideal
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
