Position Overview Full-time, non-tenure‑track Professor of Practice to start in Fall 2026 in the Department of Comparative Cultural Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Houston.
The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Biological Anthropology, Introduction to Archaeology, and courses in their discipline specialty. The course load is 3:4 per semester depending on enrollment and course need.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Anthropology or a related field at the time of hire.
A four‑field background and the ability to teach online courses in CANVAS is desirable.
Responsibilities
Teach Introduction to Biological Anthropology.
Teach Introduction to Archaeology.
Teach courses in the discipline specialty.
