Full‑Time Store Manager Trainee (Grand Opening) Join ALDI USA as a Store Manager Trainee and receive comprehensive training on all aspects of successfully running a store. You’ll be involved in supervising day‑to‑day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, identifying staffing needs, managing schedules, developing operational action plans, and mentoring the team.

Position Details

Position Type:

Full‑Time

Estimated Hours: 45‑50 hours per week

Starting Wage: $26.50 per hour

Year‑1 Earnings Potential: Up to $80,500 (salary and bonus, where applicable)

Location: USA (specific location to be assigned upon training)

Duties & Responsibilities

Consistently demonstrate ALDI’s M.A.P. program (Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills).

Supervise day‑to‑day operations and performance of the team, providing the highest level of customer service.

Communicate and model company strategy and core values to build teamwork and employee engagement.

Handle customer concerns and ensure appropriate resolution.

Maintain proper store signage and product quality/freshness.

Assist in hiring by reviewing resumes, applications, and interviewing candidates.

Prepare, manage, and revise weekly schedules to meet staffing needs.

Clarify job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.

Conduct store meetings and identify training opportunities.

Perform annual performance evaluations and recommend promotions or terminations.

Achieve payroll and loss‑budget targets.

Manage cash audits with direct leadership according to company guidelines.

Monitor community competition and recommend adjustments for a competitive edge.

Provide product feedback for new or discontinued items.

Maintain a safe environment by identifying hazards, ensuring ergonomics, and keeping equipment in working order.

Oversee product merchandising and stock levels through proper ordering.

Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations per company guidelines.

Comply with all policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Stock merchandise from receiving to shelving; lift up to 45 pounds at various heights.

Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk regularly.

Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job Qualifications

21 years of age or older.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong customer service orientation and ability to lead others.

Excellent communication skills for rapport and performance development.

Understanding and application of company policies and procedures.

Goal setting and performance guidance abilities.

Capacity to evaluate and drive self and others’ performance.

Comprehension of budgeting, personnel costs, and expense controls.

Cash register operation proficiency.

Safe operation of equipment (hand jack, floor scrubber, cardboard baler) and general cleaning duties.

Organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.

Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Prior management experience preferred.

Travel Requirements

Frequent training at multiple locations within division; flexibility to travel as required.
