JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

Responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.

Set the example and follow ALL policy and procedures 100 % of the time, and expect the same from the crew.

Handle staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, work‑to‑a‑schedule, image quality, adherence to standards, great customer service, attendance & punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication skills: give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential functions/skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately; make correct monetary change; possess verbal, writing, and telephone skills; have motor coordination between eyes and hands and fingers; enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

WORK CONDITIONS

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.

In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in the cooler to 90 °F and above in some work areas; sudden temperature changes, fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (including walk‑in cooler), hot surfaces/tools up to 500 °F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Vision and hearing: talk and hear on the telephone; near and mid‑range vision; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces; far vision and night vision for driving.

TEMPERAMENTS The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing: most tasks performed from a standing position.

Walking: short distances and short durations.

Sitting: paperwork typically completed at a desk or table.

Lifting: bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lb, up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft.) unloaded by hand truck.

Carrying: small items such as cans (approx. 3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (up to 30 lb), and pizza dough trays (approx. 12 lb).

Pushing/Pulling: trays on dollies (size 24″–30″) requiring up to 7.5 lb of force; trays may also be pulled.

Climbing: occasional navigation of stairs or ladders.

Forward bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching up to 72″ or higher to operate ovens, change signs, and lift/sort items.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Forward bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, and hand tasks requiring eye‑hand coordination are continuous throughout the shift. Frequently involves the use of pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, a pizza cutter, a pizza peel, a rolling cutter, and cardboard pizza boxes.

DRIVING SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

Deliver product by car and then to the customer’s door.

Deliver flyers and door hangers.

REQUIRES

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.

Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within a designated delivery area.

Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
