Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
The mission Own full-spectrum leadership for three terminals (Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Niagara Falls, Canada) and the Whiting, IN transfer facility. Safely operate, meet environmental obligations, hit quality targets, and manage budgets while steering the CAPEX portfolio for Chicago, Cleveland, and Niagara.
How you'll make an impact
Operations, Maintenance, CAPEX 35% – Motivate teams; authorize spend; update procedures; train and coach; oversee nonstandard maintenance; scope and deliver capital projects; champion continuous improvement for throughput and cost.
EHS Excellence 20% – Act as the RC14001 management representative; ensure timely incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action; drive closure of IMS items.
Quality Leadership 15% – Lead through regulatory, customer, and ISO 9001 audits; ensure robust investigations and corrective actions.
Commercial Partnership 10% – Synchronize with Sales/Marketing; align living production/shipping plans with demand; support customer engagements.
Performance Visibility 10% – Report production, spend, reliability, EHS, and CAPEX performance; present insights regularly.
Strategic Planning 10% – Create annual production plans; maintenance outage plans; capital budgets; and periodic spend plans.
What you'll need
Proven experience in chemical or heavy industrial manufacturing (pulp & paper, refinery, steel, etc.).
5+ years of related management experience; union facility exposure is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership with sharp problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Independent, initiative-driven operator located near one of our sites; up to 50% travel.
Where you'll work Home-based in Chicago, IL; Northern Ohio; or Northern Indiana with frequent site travel.
