Director of Operations

to lead and optimize production processes across multiple manufacturing sites for a global leader in carbon black manufacturing. This senior leadership role is critical to driving operational excellence, profitability, and strategic growth within a complex, high-performance environment. As Director of Operations, you will oversee plant operations, engineering, EHS, and quality functions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity for a proven operations leader to shape strategy, mentor plant leadership, and deliver best-in‑class performance across all facets of production. Key Responsibilities

Direct and optimize production, maintenance, shipping, and quality assurance across multiple sites. Provide leadership for engineering, process technology, and EHS functions to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Develop and implement strategic and operating plans aligned with profitability and growth objectives. Monitor and improve manufacturing process efficiency, reliability, and energy recovery initiatives. Oversee capital projects, budgets, and KPIs to achieve financial and operational targets. Mentor Plant General Managers and build high‑performing teams across critical skill areas. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain strong community relations. Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (MS or MBA preferred). Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a senior operations leadership role within manufacturing. Proven expertise in production management, process optimization, and capital project oversight. Strong understanding of EHS compliance, labor relations, and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. Proficiency with integrated information systems and KPI‑driven performance management.
