Job Description Key Components of Behavior Technician Position:

Provide 1:1 home or school based intensive behavioral therapy

Carry out individualized lessons and behavior plans as directed by your supervisor

Utilize ABA instructional strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training and verbal behavior

Facilitate social skills training

Record child’s progress and graph data

Communicate with supervisor regarding child’s progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications

Attend team meetings as needed

Work collaboratively with teammates, parents and other professionals

Complete required paperworkMaintain agreed upon schedule for the child

Arrive to scheduled sessions on time

Notify supervisor and families of any schedule changes

Make reasonable attempts to provide make-up sessions or find substitute for missed sessions due to therapist cancellations

Attend internal and external professional workshops

Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience preferred

Experience working with young children with special needs

Coursework in special education, early childhood development, psychology or a related field
