This role is offered through FORTIS Resource Partners with a pay range of $155,000.00/yr – $180,000.00/yr, which will be determined by your skills and experience. The actual pay will be discussed with our recruiter.

They are entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and are looking for a Director of FP&A who will bring financial vision, operational partnership, and strategic insights to help scale sustainably.
As Director of FP&A, you will be the organization’s financial strategy partner — connecting data to decisions and mission to outcomes.
Responsibilities
Own the FP&A cycle and drive monthly and quarterly reforecasting
Build and maintain scalable financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Provide timely, consistent financial insights through strong cross‑functional partnerships
Translate financial insights into clear storytelling for executives and the Board
Support leadership with scenario planning and investment prioritization
Deliver clear, high‑quality executive and Board materials linking performance, KPIs, mission impact, and strategic priorities
Governance of Federal & State Funding
Ensure compliant financial management of grants and reimbursed funding
Lead cost allocation modeling to optimize program funding
Maintain audit‑ready documentation and strong internal controls
Partner with program and development leaders to align funding and outcomes
Strategic Decision Support
Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team
Drive P&L ownership across business units by translating financial insights into actionable operational guidance
Develop financial plans that balance sustainability with mission impact
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment and accountability across departments
Strengthen enterprise‑wide analytical capabilities to advance data‑driven decision‑making
Process & Team Leadership
Modernize and automate FP&A tools, reporting, and processes
Coach and develop FP&A team members, elevating business partnership skills
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration
Demonstrate exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills to influence and align stakeholders
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including leadership of planning cycles
Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
Strong business acumen and comfort advising executives
Excel/BI modeling expertise and ability to simplify complexity
Experience with funding or contract‑driven financial environments is a plus
Excellent communication, storytelling, and influencing skills
An energy for mission‑based work and leading with purpose
What Success Looks Like After 12–18 months in role, you will:
Enable a clear financial narrative from frontline operations to the Board
Standardize reporting and automate core FP&A processes
Strengthen financial stewardship of restricted funds
Deepen trust and alignment between Finance and the business
Demonstrate meaningful support for mission growth
