TEEMA
SR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / HARDWARE TECH LEAD
TEEMA, El Segundo, California, United States, 90245
Senior Electrical Engineer (Hardware Tech Lead)
Own the electronics that power real-world autonomous systems.
We’re looking for a senior hardware engineer who can take a board from
blank page → flight‑ready product
and thrives in fast, high‑ownership environments. If you like building rugged, mission‑critical hardware that gets deployed and used—not just tested on a bench—you’ll love this role.
Compensation $190,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
What You’ll Work On
Lead the full hardware lifecycle: concept, schematics, PCB layout, prototyping, validation, and production
Design mixed‑signal boards: high‑speed digital, analog, SI/PI, and power electronics
Build hardware that survives heat, vibration, EMI/EMC, and field abuse
Integrate electronics with drones, radars, cameras, RF payloads, and distributed autonomous systems
Iterate fast with direct operator and customer feedback
Contribute at the system level, working closely with mechanical, firmware, and field teams
Who Thrives Here
Product‑minded engineers who enjoy direct user interaction
Builders who turn ambiguity into working hardware
System thinkers who consider EE + mechanical + user tradeoffs
People who love seeing their designs deployed in real missions
Individuals who want big ownership, fast pace, and real impact
What You Bring
5+ years designing and releasing custom PCBAs
Strong experience in high‑speed digital, analog, power electronics, signal integrity
Proficiency with KiCad, LTSpice, oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers
Background working on reliability‑critical hardware
Ability to interpret specs, datasheets, and drawings
Familiarity with OnShape and git
Bonus Skills
Aerospace/defense or other high‑reliability environments
RF design, custom magnetics, sensor or power‑system integration
Experience supporting hardware in field deployments
