Position Summary

The firm is seeking a tax professional to join its finance organization. This individual, reporting into the SVP of Tax, will work closely with senior leaders and external advisers to support tax compliance across multiple investment vehicles and related entities. The role involves reviewing complex tax filings, coordinating with service providers, supporting investor inquiries, and assisting with various operational tax processes. The firm offers significant opportunity for expanded responsibility as the individual demonstrates strong technical ability and initiative.

Required Background

A minimum of four years of progressive experience in public accounting or financial services tax Strong federal tax compliance experience, ideally involving financial services or partnership taxation Experience with private equity or alternative investment structures is advantageous Proficiency with technology and willingness to adopt new systems and workflows Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

Support senior tax leadership in managing global tax reporting and compliance requirements Review filings prepared by external advisers related to international reporting standards and investor tax documentation Assist with oversight of withholding processes and certification requirements for various investment entities Review investor tax form validation (e.g., W-8, W-9, and similar forms) to ensure compliance with applicable withholding and reporting rules Maintain internal systems containing partner and investor demographic and tax information Lead internal and external requests related to investor tax certifications and documentation Review U.S. federal, state, and foreign tax filings and related workpapers for fund and general partner entities Coordinate responses to tax authority inquiries and notices Maintain and update tax allocation models and waterfalls in coordination with service providers Prepare periodic taxable income estimates and support investor and adviser inquiries Provide general support to the tax team and external service providers as needed
