Our client, a diversified investment firm with holdings across financial, real estate, and professional services sectors, is seeking a
Senior Tax Analyst
to join its corporate finance and accounting team. The role offers exposure to complex partnership structures, multi-entity operations, and a variety of investment vehicles, including funds, real estate partnerships, and portfolio companies.
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience preparing and reviewing partnership returns, K-1s, and supporting multi‑state and local tax compliance efforts. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with the finance, legal, and investment teams to support compliance, planning, and strategic growth initiatives.
Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax filings for partnerships, corporations, and investment entities (including real estate and fund structures).
Coordinate and manage the preparation and distribution of investor
Schedule K-1s
across multiple entities and investment vehicles.
Support
nexus studies and assessments
to identify and manage multi‑state filing obligations.
Administer
multi‑state sales and use tax
compliance, including registration, reporting, and audit coordination.
Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions, estimated payments, and extensions.
Support tax planning and structuring activities for new investments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors on complex compliance and advisory matters.
Maintain tax basis calculations, deferred tax balances, and related schedules.
Research and interpret tax laws and regulations, advising management on implications for the firm and its affiliates.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the tax function.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CPA or MST
preferred.
4–7 years of progressive tax experience , ideally within a public accounting firm or investment management environment.
Strong knowledge of
partnership taxation, K-1 reporting, and multi‑state tax compliance .
Experience coordinating
nexus assessments
and
sales/use tax
compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Familiarity with
real estate partnerships, fund structures, and investment vehicles .
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, OneSource, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
