Backend Developer

Join our team to design and implement technical solutions that integrate our chargeback solution with client systems end to end. You'll own backend architecture, develop APIs, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable and reliable integrations that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain backend services and microservices that support data ingestion, normalization, and integration with various CRM, processor, and card network platforms.
Develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs using OAuth 2.0 authorization and JSON-based payloads.
Implement and monitor streaming data pipelines using Kafka and Apache Spark for real‑time enrichment and processing.
Collaborate with front‑end developers, product managers, and QA to deliver secure, scalable, and performant end‑to‑end features.
Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues by analyzing logs, traces, and API interactions across PostgreSQL, Kafka, and microservices.
Participate in code reviews and champion secure development practices aligned with PCI DSS compliance.
Maintain observability through monitoring and alerting dashboards (Grafana, Loki, Airflow) and support the internal DevOps portal for job orchestration, service health checks, and custom workflow tracking.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements using GitHub Actions and container‑based workflows (Docker).
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in backend development using Python (FastAPI or Flask preferred).
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and secure API development.
Experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling for high‑volume transactional systems.
Familiarity with cloud hosting environments such as AWS, DigitalOcean and containerization tools like Docker.
Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Spark for streaming data processing is a strong plus.
Exposure to Airflow for orchestration and monitoring of ETL workflows.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and tools like Jira or Trello.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automated testing frameworks.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
Prior experience integrating with payment platforms, processors, CRMs, or chargeback systems is a strong plus.
