Property IT Director

This leadership role will have accountability for the Information Technology areas for the Caesars Republic and Harrah’s Lake Tahoe properties. Your role will challenge you to provide strategic direction, technology expertise, project leadership, personnel management, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship for the operations of critical property teams and systems.
Essential Functions This role will direct the local IT support activities at the properties including the planning, procurement, installation, implementation, ongoing support, and administration of all IT systems located on the property. The Property IT Director will work closely with Regional IT Director, Enterprise IT and be responsible for identifying, implementing and supporting the IT strategy within the property and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall IT strategy. This role will be the key liaison between Property and Enterprise IT, helping to bridge communications and serving as a key bi-directional advocate.
The Property IT Director will collaborate with project teams and business leadership for all implementation planning and deployment at the property to ensure successful transition, while providing continuous improvements for the business. The role will ensure interoperability of the architecture, systems and applications, as well as adherence to enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
The Property IT Director will drive the creation and execution of best practices in the management of property IT, conducive to supporting enterprise-wide IT strategies. Ownership of vendor relationships for the purpose of contract negotiation, service level agreements, issue escalation, maintenance, upgrades, and billing.
In addition, the person assuming this role must have a demonstrated track record of being a motivated leader committed to the successful hiring, development and retention of a staff. As the role will be responsible for designing and monitoring for efficient day-to-day operations, maintenance and performance of all property-based technical systems, the candidate should be able to demonstrate similar experiences from their prior roles.

Proactively identifies and manages IT needs, and communicates & advocates those to enterprise IT on behalf of the property
Serves as the key linkage between Enterprise IT and the property, communicating key issues, activities, and processes to the property on behalf of IT
Identifies key initiatives, opportunities, and capabilities at properties and operating units for broader leverage at enterprise levels.
Responsible for implementation planning, deployment and support at the property level assuring corporate projects requiring property IT support are adequately staffed and executed.
Responsible for knowledge capture and dissemination for best practices and innovation at the property, channeling information from the enterprise IT team. Coordinates with property and enterprise IT to develop and implement property standards that will improve business functionality.
Manages submission and tracking of service requests to enterprise IT from the region. Captures and reports property IT metrics, e.g., operations, up-time, projects, growth and training. Promotes adherence to corporate IT standards by property IT teams, such as change management, production access control, security, development standards, project management process, etc.
Responsible for hiring, motivating and developing a world-class team at the property committed to contributing to the success of the team and property.
Facilitates opportunities to engage the property and employees on corporate projects, providing cross-functional training opportunities and career development.
Efficiently manages the IT staff and ensures the optimal staffing relative to the property needs and overall corporate goals
Work Experience: 8+ years of Information Technology experience with 5-7 years progressive responsibility in the operation/management of a wide variety of technology applications across multiple platforms. Minimum 2 years of team management and mentoring experience. Demonstrated vendor negotiation skills and service level agreement management experience. Project leadership or general management experience, with excellent relationship building and communication at all levels. Ability to manage and motivate employees in a high-pressure 24/7 operating environment achieving superior results.
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Management Information Systems; Electrical Engineering; or equivalent experience with emphasis on business, finance and technology. M.S. or M.B.A. a plus.
Job Grade is M13 and salary will be determined by candidate experience and qualifications.
