Compensation & Benefits Expected salary range: $159,300 to $177,000. Includes base salary, bonus program, commission, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase program, comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, paid time off and more.
Location & Travel Remote work within the Eastern or Central United States. Requires at least 60% travel across the country. Ideal candidate lives near a major airport in the Great Lakes, Mid‑West or Mid‑Atlantic region.
Primary Purpose of Position The Senior Manager of Sales will report to the Executive Director of Regional Sales, lead a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), and be responsible for developing and executing acquisition of new Energy Efficiency focused Infrastructure Renewal and Building Upgrade projects.
Responsibilities
Lead new business development: manage and guide BDMs, drive sales performance, pipeline development, and relationship management.
Coach and mentor a professional team, ensuring training, performance reviews, and administrative governance.
Develop and implement enhanced sales strategies aligned with a consultative sales model.
Conduct routine pipeline reviews, support sales presentations, and assist during customer meetings.
Drive proactive business development and enhance go‑to‑market strategy.
Manage sales overhead budget and ensure sales metrics and KPIs are on‑target.
Collaborate with Project Development, Engineering, and Construction leadership on technical proposals and post‑award support.
Generate sales forecasts, track pipeline metrics, and present findings to senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of consultative, solutions‑based sales experience in Energy Savings Performance Contracting, Facility Infrastructure Upgrades, commercial construction, Energy as a Service, or related industries.
Prior Sales Management experience in a solutions‑based or consultative environment.
Strong leadership, coaching, and professional development skills.
Proven history of success in developing and managing a defined sales territory and meeting/exceeding annual sales quotas.
Experience with CRM platforms and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of Sales Management experience.
In‑depth understanding of building and mechanical infrastructure.
Experience managing sales cycles exceeding twelve months.
Formalized sales training program via Sandler, Miller‑Heiman or similar.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM system.
