Job Title:

DevOps Engineer – Mission Operations, Herndon, VA

Position Responsibilities

Set up automation and tooling for installation and configuration of Windows servers, Linux servers, Windows workstations, and related software components.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain systems through automated updates, patches, and security fixes.

Automate configuration and management of network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.

Implement and maintain backup strategies, including monitoring and disaster recovery planning.

Implement security measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls.

Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for efficiency and responsiveness.

Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps; generate performance, security, and compliance reports.

Participate in planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring best‑practice compliance.

Continuously update skills and knowledge on latest technologies, industry trends, and security practices.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Year of experience: 1+ (Level 2), 3+ (Level 3), 5+ (Level 4).

Prior DevOps experience.

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Knowledge of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP).

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

Experience with automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins).

Relevant certifications in DevOps or IT.

Security Clearance This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with a full‑scope polygraph and U.S. citizenship. The clearance must be current or active within the past 24 months.

Export Control Requirements Applicants must meet U.S. export control compliance, requiring U.S. Person status as defined in 22 C.F.R. 120.15.

Relocation Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility.

Shift 1st shift.

Pay & Benefits Competitive base pay plus variable compensation, with benefits including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. Pay ranges by level:

Level 2: $96,050 – $129,950

Level 3: $118,150 – $159,850

Level 4: $141,950 – $192,050
