San José Mineta International Airport is recruiting for a Senior Analyst and Analyst I/II position. The Senior Analyst is in the Airport Finance and Administration Division and the Analyst I/II is in the Planning and Development Division. Senior Analyst The position of Senior Analyst in the Airport Finance and Administration Division provides support to the Airport Department in managing the development of the Airport's operating budget. The Senior Analyst coordinates with various Airport divisions, supervises the preparation of monthly and annual aviation statistical reports, and reports directly to the Administrative Officer in the Finance and Administration Division. Preparation of Source and Use statements along with various schedules required by the Budget Office.
Drafting and coordinating the Airport Budget document and associated City Council, City Manager and airline presentations.
Monitoring and reporting activities, including liaising with project managers, revenue and expenditure tracking and forecasting.
Conducting in‑depth financial analysis including variance analysis, multi‑year projections, and scenario modeling to support budget and financial decision making.
Management and development of large databases and continuous process evaluation to improve customer service levels and capitalize on technology changes.
Developing and maintaining dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Excel) to clearly communicate operational, financial, and statistical performance to stakeholders.
Management of the tracking, monitoring, and reporting of monthly and annual aviation statistics.
Functioning as key manager for all the Department's budget and administrative liaisons, airport senior staff and managers, airport stakeholders, and external entities such as City Manager’s Budget Office, other City departments, and governmental agencies.

The Analyst is part of the fiscal team in the Planning and Development Division, supports the development, monitoring, reporting and administration of the Division’s annual operating budget and capital budget, and serves as a liaison for coordination of the budget and financial information between multiple stakeholders.
Analyst I/II Responsibilities

Prepare and provide oral and written reports to and assist project managers with tracking appropriation expenditures and balances.
