Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Vice President of Engineering for a top Growing Manufacturing client. This executive leadership role is responsible for leading the entire engineering function, encompassing product development, manufacturing/sustaining engineering, and production support. The VP of Engineering drives strategic technical vision, oversees project execution, shapes the company’s future as a key member of the executive team, and fosters a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and the delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions.

Base pay range: $160,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr. Cooperidge Consulting Firm is providing the pay range; your actual pay depends on your skills and experience — discuss with recruiter.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage all engineering teams across R&D, manufacturing engineering, and project engineering functions

Guide the design and development of new products, including critical material selection, specification definition, and validation testing

Develop and maintain engineering processes aligned with rigorous industry standards (e.g., PPAP, Configuration Management)

Conduct internal and customer-attended design reviews to assess and ensure compliance with all customer specifications

Plan and manage strategic R&D projects and lead the development of new product lines

Provide expert technical direction and cross‑functional support to procurement, quality assurance, drafting, and production teams

Lead efforts in patent acquisition, intellectual property management, and develop/track key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering performance

Hire, train, evaluate, and mentor engineering personnel to foster a high-performance, high‑integrity culture

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required

Master’s degree is preferred

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive engineering experience, including product design and development, is required

Minimum of three (3) years of engineering management or team leadership experience is required

Experience in aerospace materials, processes, and industry standards is required

Strategic leadership and technical vision, with the proven ability to develop and mentor engineering talent

Experience with electro‑mechanical product design is preferred

Strong background in project management and technical documentation

Familiarity with ASME/ANSI drawing standards, manufacturing practices, CAD systems, and engineering databases

High ethical standards, strong organizational, decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
