Assistant General Counsel - ComEd Interconnection (Hybrid) Hybrid role providing legal support to the DER interconnection business clients of ComEd.

Primary Purpose Entry‑level to mid‑level attorney responsible for full legal service to DER interconnection business clients under the supervision of a managing or supervising attorney. Carries out assignments including research, contract preparation, memoranda and business support. May draft witness testimony, motions, and briefs for disputes and assist in resolving disputes between the company and interconnection customers.

Primary Duties

Perform broad, moderately complex legal assignments and assist senior attorneys representing Exelon in business, legislative, regulatory, and project support including dispute resolution, regulatory proceedings, and litigation.

Advise clients on all legal matters related to documents and customers interconnecting with the utility electric system.

Develop understanding of each interconnection team’s client business, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and familiarity with new statutes.

Prepare and revise budgets and early matter assessments for matters involving outside counsel.

Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.

Job Scope

Supports more experienced attorneys in ongoing relationships and matters with Business Units and outside counsel.

Think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve company objectives and manage risk.

Minimum Qualifications

LLB or JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

At least four years of professional experience in a specialized area of law with strong interpersonal, organizational, and legal research skills.

Excellent written and oral communication, ability to analyze legal materials, and ability to work under stressful conditions and tight deadlines.
