Primary Purpose An entry‑to‑mid‑level attorney responsible for providing full legal service to DER interconnection business clients under supervision. Carries out legal assignments including research, contract drafting, memorandums of law, and general business support. May draft witness testimony, motions, and briefs for disputes, and assist with resolving disputes between the company and interconnection customers.

Primary Duties

Perform broad and moderately complex legal assignments, assisting more experienced attorneys in representing Exelon in business, legislative, regulatory, and project support, including disputes and regulatory proceedings.

Advise clients on all legal matters related to documents and customers interconnecting with the utility electric system.

Develop an understanding of each interconnection team’s client business and business philosophy to remain compliant with laws and regulations, staying current with new laws and regulations.

Job Scope

Support more experienced attorneys in ongoing relationships and matters with Business Units and outside counsel.

Think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve company objectives and manage risk.

Minimum Qualifications

LLB or JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions. At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent legal research, analytical abilities, and ongoing knowledge of federal and state law, regulations, and company tariffs as required.

Excellent communication skills – both oral and written – with the ability to read and analyze legal materials and other data and to work under stressful conditions and time deadlines.
