Position Overview We are seeking a VP of Product Engineering specializing in Silicon Photonics to lead our product development efforts from the ground up. This role will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring the successful engineering and production of advanced optical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of optical computing and experience in high-volume production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the product engineering team in the development and implementation of Silicon Photonics solutions.
Develop and execute strategies for co-packaged optics (CPO) initiatives and high-volume production scalability.
Oversee the design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) processes in product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product vision and strategy.
Manage relationships with foundries and OSATs to optimize production processes and outcomes.
Drive the characterization and testing of optical modules to meet performance standards.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in optical computing to foster innovation.
Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in product engineering, with a focus on Silicon Photonics or related Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) technologies.
Must-have: Demonstrated deep technical expertise and direct experience taking products from initial definition through to high-volume production, including rigorous application of DFM and DFT principles to optimize manufacturability, testability, yield, and cost-proven across multiple product cycles in photonic or semiconductor hardware.
Proven track record in managing high-volume production processes and working with foundries and OSATs.
Strong understanding of optical computing principles and module characterization techniques.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
