Speech Therapist: Clinical Fellowship Supervisor
21st Century Home Health Services (21HHS) is the largest home health agency in San Francisco and the fastest‑growing in the Bay Area. With more than 600 employees, we provide comprehensive services to over 4,000 patients across the region, and we are expanding into Marin and Sonoma counties. As a full‑time Home Health Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP), you will deliver skilled, compassionate care in patients’ homes. Working closely with case managers and interdisciplinary teams, you will assess, treat, and support individuals with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, while also serving as an educator and patient advocate. In addition to your clinical duties, you may take on the role of Clinical Fellowship Supervisor. Overseeing and mentoring speech‑language pathology fellows provides the opportunity to shape the next generation of SLPs while maintaining a direct patient‑care focus. What you'll do as the Clinical Fellowship Supervisor
Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to clinical fellows throughout their fellowship year. Develop and implement individualized learning plans (ILPs) outlining goals, objectives, and milestones. Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of fellows’ progress and clinical competencies. Offer constructive feedback and coaching to enhance clinical skills and decision‑making. Collaborate with coordinators and other healthcare professionals to facilitate learning opportunities. Ensure compliance with certification and licensure requirements. Facilitate case reviews to promote evidence‑based practice. Participate in meetings, seminars, and workshops to support fellows’ professional growth. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supervision and progress evaluations. Success qualifications for the Clinical Fellowship Supervisor
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech‑Language Pathology (SLP). Current California license or certification as an SLP. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA. Preferred: Clinical experience as an SLP. Preferred: Experience supervising or mentoring clinical fellows. Strong knowledge of speech‑therapy principles and techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
