Speech Therapist: Clinical Fellowship Supervisor

As a full-time Home Health Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP), you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients in their homes. In collaboration with the Case Manager and interdisciplinary care team, you will assess, treat, and support patients with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. You will also act as an educator and patient advocate, promoting improved communication and quality of life. What you’ll do as the Clinical Fellowship Supervisor

Supervise, guide, and mentor speech‑language pathology clinical fellows throughout their fellowship year. Develop individualized learning plans (ILPs) for each fellow, outlining goals, objectives, and milestones for professional development. Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of fellows’ progress and clinical competencies. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance clinical skills and decision‑making. Collaborate with clinical coordinators and other healthcare professionals to facilitate clinical experiences and learning opportunities. Ensure compliance with certification and licensure requirements for clinical fellows. Facilitate discussions and case reviews to promote clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice. Coordinate and participate in meetings, seminars, and workshops to support professional growth. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supervision and progress evaluations. To be a success as the Clinical Fellowship Supervisor

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech‑Language Pathology (SLP). Current California license or certification as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Preferred clinical experience as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Preferred experience in supervising or mentoring clinical fellows. Strong knowledge of speech therapy principles, practices, and techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
