Director of Clinical Management The Director of Clinical Management (DCM) leads and oversees clinical management operations related to organ evaluation, donor management, recovery, and allocation. This role ensures high-quality clinical supervision and drives continuous improvement in processes and outcomes. The Director of Clinical Management works in conjunction with the Director of Organ Procurement to ensure a high functioning, integrated organ work system. This position is responsible for maximizing donation through leadership collaboration, innovation, and strategy to increase the availability of organs for transplant.

Directs clinical teams to

promote a unified donor program , works effectively with other OPOs, recovery agencies, and tissue department as necessary, and maintains strong working

relationships

with external partners.

Ensures clinical competence of the staff through

education, case reviews and focused learning

and training activities to maintain skills and expertise. Assists with the development of training programs.

Partners with the Director of Organ Procurement to prepare, administer, and monitor the

budget

for the organ clinical work system.

Identifies, defines, and prioritizes issues that relate to the organ work system to set goals in alignment with

organizational goals .

Responsible for providing

leadership

and direction to assigned staff, including staff performance reviews, professional development, and monitoring staff activities.

Responsible for organizational culture alignment, departmental staffing, performance, engagement/satisfaction, and team building through the employee development program.

Foster a

growth-mindset

across organ recovery teams, activity, and processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Seven years healthcare management experience required.

Previous organ donation clinical management experience highly preferred.

Minimum of five years of leadership experience required.

Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
