Synaptics is looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Program Management to plan, coordinate, and execute a group of interrelated projects that collectively achieve business goals.

This position will work closely with senior engineering leaders/program managers in the various Divisions, the IT and CAD teams, and senior executives in the company.

It reports to the SVP, Global Operations. The typical base pay range for this position is USD $222,000 – $349,800 per year.

Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Responsibilities & Competencies

Lead, motivate, and scale a high‑performing global Program Management team responsible for all programs and projects to align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable business value Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team to define program scope, objectives, and success metrics.

Establish governance structures, processes, and reporting mechanisms Communicate with executives, sponsors, and cross‑functional teams to manage expectations and ensure alignment Implement processes and forums to effectively manage all programs and ensure consistent execution across the company Identify risks across projects, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve escalated issues Allocate resources across projects, balancing priorities and dependencies.

Establish a consistent resource reporting program that is followed by program managers in the various Divisions Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability Track progress against milestones, KPIs, and deliverables.

Provide regular status updates to leadership In depth understanding of the silicon development flow Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of engineers and program managers to achieve key priorities, to provide clear direction, to actively delegate, communicate, coach, and hold fellow team members accountable Ability to influence and lead through change and is motivated by the challenge of a fast‑paced, high‑growth global environment High integrity, responsive with an inherent sense of urgency and accountability Ability to balance multiple competing priorities, with very strong attention to detail, able to transition easily between the strategic and the detailed Ability to solve problems that are not clearly defined and require in depth understanding of technology and organizational objectives Experience in working effectively cross‑functionally with program managers, engineers and technical support teams and building successful cross‑functional partnerships Excellent communication that is clear, concise, and compelling Qualifications (Requirements)

Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent 15+ years of experience in silicon engineering, including 5+ years of expertise in engineering program management including 7+ years managing teams Extensive experience managing large, complex semiconductor programs with a track record of successful project execution Expertise in program and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMI, SAFe) Financial and risk management experience Proficiency with tools like MS Project, Jira, or similar Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop long‑term plans for program management in line with the overall business strategy of the company Strong track record of inspiring and motivating teams and other program managers fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration Demonstrated effective leadership in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment 25% domestic and international travel is required Belief in Diversity: Synaptics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
