The
Storage Service
team is developing the next-generation storage platform to deliver
low-latency, high-throughput, and highly available storage systems
across 100+ global regions. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide customers with industry‑leading compute, storage, networking, database, and security capabilities.
We’re looking for engineers who are excited by challenges in distributed systems, cloud‑scale storage, data replication, and performance optimization. If you’re passionate about building reliable, massively scalable services, this is the place for you.
Responsibilities
Design and develop core components of the OCI Storage and Data Management Service, focusing on scalability, performance, and durability.
Build and optimize distributed storage systems that ensure data consistency, availability, and low‑latency access.
Dive deep into the software stack—from I/O path performance to metadata consistency and replication.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality features.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems for performance and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience designing and delivering large‑scale storage or distributed systems.
Strong proficiency in C or C++, with solid understanding of object‑oriented design principles.
Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Expertise in filesystems, storage systems, and distributed persistence technologies.
Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑tuning skills.
Prior cloud infrastructure experience is a plus.

Salary Range US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 - $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non‑overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
