Financial Director

We’re a fast‑growing material science + AI company looking for a Finance Director to own day‑to‑day financial operations and help build our finance function from scratch. This role starts hands‑on and grows into broader strategic finance work as we scale.

Finance Director - Early‑Stage Science/AI Startup (Dallas, TX) What You’ll Do

Run accounting, record‑keeping, and month‑end processes

Maintain compliance across financial, tax, and regulatory areas

Manage models for burn, runway, and revenue forecasting

Lead budgeting, cash management, and scenario analysis

Support investor updates and financial reporting

Partner cross‑functionally on contracts and operational processes

Growth Path

Strategic finance (pricing, margins, capital allocation)

Procurement and revenue management improvements

M&A and exit‑readiness modeling

What You Bring

3–7 years in FP&A, M&A advisory, strategic accounting, or similar

Strong modeling and analytical skills

Clear communicator who turns numbers into insight

MBA or CPA a plus

Currently living in the Dallas, Texas area or willing to relocate
