Join EY in the Financial Services Organization (FSO) for a Captive Insurance Consultant (Manager) role focused on captive insurance tax engagements, feasibility studies and optimization projects. Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver captive insurance feasibility studies and utilization projects.
Develop captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions.
Manage client relationships, staffing and economics of engagements.
Analyze engagement results to continually improve client service.
Skills And Attributes For Success To qualify for the role you must have:
Bachelor's Degree
CPA or licensed Attorney
Experience or knowledge of captive insurance companies
5‑10 years of accounting or taxation experience for insurance companies
Ideally, you will also have:
Understanding of GAAP / statutory accounting principles
Basic understanding of ASC 740 / SSAP 101
Experience preparing tax returns
Experience in state and local taxation (e.g., state return compliance, state income tax accounting, state apportionment fundamentals)
Self‑motivation
Critical thinking
Eagerness to build a professional network
Leadership ability and a drive to uncover new business opportunities for clients
