Anticipated Hiring Range: $280,000 – $300,000
This position will lead the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), overseeing more than 8,000 employees and a $3.5 billion budget. The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO) will set strategic and operational direction, advance innovation, collaboration, and equity to strengthen service delivery for over 3.3 million residents.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the DCAO works closely with the Board of Supervisors, other County leaders, and community partners. The leader plays a pivotal role in modernizing systems and cultivating a culture of trust, accountability, and whole‑community care.
Lead strategic planning and operational oversight of HHSA.
Advocate for innovation, collaboration, and equity in service delivery.
Engage with the Board, County leadership, and community partners.
Manage workforce and budget to achieve goals.
Salary and Benefits Anticipated salary $280,000 – $300,000, plus an attractive benefits package.
