ALTA IT Services is hiring: IAM QA TESTER in Vienna

Job Title: IAM QA Tester (IAM, API, Functional Testing)
Location: REMOTE
Pay Rate: Open to W2 options
Position Type: Multiyear Contract

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test strategies covering functional, integration, end‑to‑end, regression, and user‑acceptance testing for IAM systems.
• Validate IAM‑specific functionality, including authentication, authorization, role‑based access control, user provisioning/de‑provisioning, identity federation, access reviews, audit logging, and other IAM workflows.
• Test backend services via REST or SOAP APIs, verifying token handling, session management, and integration with identity providers.
• Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites for APIs or UI/web, and integrate them into a CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tooling.
• Track and report defects, collaborate with developers and architects to reproduce issues, and verify fixes; provide detailed documentation and test result reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IAM architects, security teams, developers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality across identity, access, and security components.
• Conduct security‑and‑compliance‑aware testing, including negative/edge‑case scenarios, privilege‑escalation paths, injection/authorization vulnerabilities, and validate secure system behavior.
• Maintain test environments and test identities, ensuring that test data, roles, permissions, authentication flows, and federation settings closely mimic production.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in functional testing and API testing within IAM or security environments.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn IAM components and workflows (authentication, authorization, provisioning, federation, SCIM, etc.).
• Automation experience, ideally with Azure DevOps (ADO), and knowledge of IAM platforms such as ForgeRock.
• Strong written communication skills for defect reporting and test documentation.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
