Job Title: Shipper I (Warehouse/Shipping Associate)
Location: State College, PA
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for conversion to permanent)
Work Type: Full-time, Onsite
Job Summary
The Shipper I is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and shipping domestic and international customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role also supports basic receiving, inventory tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders according to specifications
• Package and ship finished goods and raw materials (domestic & international) using FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other carriers
• Consolidate shipments and ensure on-time delivery
• Perform visual quality inspections of products and packaging
• Receive incoming products using barcode scanners
• Use shipping/ERP systems and provide tracking information as needed
• Build kits, perform cycle counts, and assist with general warehouse duties
• Follow U.S. export regulations and hazardous materials (e.g., Lithium-Ion battery) shipping requirements when applicable
• Participate in Lean and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• 0–2 years of warehouse, logistics, or shipping experience
• Ability to learn ERP and carrier shipping software (FedEx, UPS, DHL experience strongly preferred)
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, PDF files, email)
• Familiarity with U.S. export regulations and hazardous materials shipping is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, positive attitude with reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively in a team and fast-paced environment
• Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed
Physical Requirements
• Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs
• Regularly lift up to 75 lbs
• Majority of items packaged are 5 lbs or less
This is a hands-on, onsite warehouse role ideal for someone who enjoys shipping/logistics tasks and thrives in a detail-oriented, team-focused environment.
