Job Title: Shipper I
Job Type: 12-Month Contract (with potential for conversion)
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipper I to support daily shipping and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders accurately and on time while following established procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, package, and ship domestic and international orders
Pick, pack, and consolidate shipments based on work instructions
Receive products using barcode scanners
Perform visual inspections to ensure product and packaging quality
Use FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping systems
Provide shipment tracking details as requested
Support cycle counting, kitting, and other warehouse tasks
Follow on-time shipping requirements and escalate issues as needed
Work closely with warehouse and operations teams
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
0–2 years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience
Basic computer skills; ability to learn ERP and shipping systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and PDF files
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good verbal and written communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with FedEx, UPS, or DHL shipping software
Knowledge of export shipping regulations
Experience or training in hazardous materials shipping (e.g., lithium-ion batteries)
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
