Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager, you will lead teams that consult with Grant Thornton accounting advisory clients on complex accounting transactions. You will help engagement teams navigate highly technical matters and improve business processes, building relationships with clients and project teams, and engaging stakeholders to identify, assess, and deliver substantiated advice. From day one, youll have access to firm leaders and training programs and opportunities to grow your career.

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Overseeing and supporting multiple engagement teams to complete divestiture solutionsevaluating carveout readiness, supporting the 100day planning and operational transition, and assisting the separation of the business for financial sponsors and corporate clients
  • Supporting SEC regulatory filings for carveouts and facilitating the preparation of carveout financials
  • Identifying market trends to be a proactive problem solver and soughtafter adviser to clients and colleagues
  • Assisting audit teams in evaluating accounting policies related to new, significant, or complex accountingrelated matters
  • Training and supervising less experienced colleagues and providing consistent, regular feedback
  • Working at a client site, with your team in the office or remotelyteams can determine when and where to work
  • Representing Grant Thornton at recruiting and professional networking events
  • Building your technical and professional skills through formal training
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and technical skills

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or related disciplines; a masters degree is a plus
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in financial statement audits, accounting advisory, or similar transaction advisory consulting services
  • An active CPA license (required)
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules and standards; accounting, transaction or mergers & acquisition services
  • Specialized knowledge in ASC606 and/or ASC842, financial instruments, IPO process, capital transactions, or complex debt, equity and employeecompensation topics
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities
  • Strong teamwork, agility, and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Leadership, influencing and motivating skills
  • Willingness to travel (30%)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary

The base salary range for this position in SanFrancisco,CA is $184,000 $276,000.
