administrative positions .
HKCRC is an innovation research center aiming to bring advanced robotics and AI technologies to the construction industry. Jointly established by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), University of California, Berkeley (UCB), and Tsinghua University, we conduct transformative research and nurture innovative engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions and prototypes to tackle immediate and emerging industrial and societal challenges in construction.
Currently, the Center is conducting projects in but not limited to the following directions:
Robotics SLAM
Robotics Motion Control
Robotics Decision Planning
Robotics Mechanical Structure Design
Embedded System
Job Description The appointee will be responsible for:
Assisting the Assistant Manager to lead the Operation Team which covers the operations of Finance, Purchasing, etc.
Managing the Inventory / equipment record, procurement, reimbursement and payment request raised by the Center
Handling the daily documentary and operational tasks
Supporting the Center to prepare event materials and meeting documents, logistics, as well as the venue set-up
Handling the general enquiry of the Center, communicating with internal and external parties
Supporting other ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirement
A Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years solid and relevant post-qualification working experience;
Written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
Advanced knowledge in administrative and event management, including finance, procurement, human resources, industry connection, public relations, official meeting, and general operation
Experience in handling government funding projects, related to University and technology industry is preferred
Good computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required
Attentive to details, outgoing with positive thinking and willing to meet people
A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to perform to a high standard under pressure and a tight timeline, independent with minimum supervision
Working Location Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics, the Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP) in Shatin, with occasional traveling to Clear Water Bay Campus as required
Remuneration and Conditions of Service Salary is highly competitive of international standards and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, and is renewable subject to performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability.
The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
