Department: 1310‑Interprofessional Education (IPE)
Campus: Western University Campus‑Lebanon, OR
Position Location: Oregon–based, 60% in‑person/40% remote during IPE academic semesters; 50/50 during non‑semester months.
Job Summary Under the general direction of the Director of IPE, this position plays a key role in supporting the operations and implementation of foundational educational IPE courses (5000 and 6000 series) and other team‑based IPE activities. The role will support students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders through curriculum development, coordination, assessment, research, and communication.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE) literature.
Knowledge of educational pedagogy related to interprofessional education, case‑based learning, team‑based learning, problem‑based learning, design of student‑centered learning experiences, and faculty needs related to evidence‑based implementation.
Ability to design didactic, small or large group, team‑based, experiential, and clinical education programming.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to address a diverse population.
Ability to interact effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders such as community leaders.
Ability to write technical and non‑technical reports in clear language understood by all.
Strong academic skills, including faculty and student development.
Ability to collaborate in a teamwork environment with excellent communication.
Ability to lead activities in an engaging and effective manner with small or large student cohorts.
Strong computer skills to create documents in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other required software.
Ability to receive and respond to constructive feedback professionally and adaptively.
Demonstrated commitment to working for an organization that values and promotes Humanism.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A clinical doctorate or equivalent highest‑level degree, as defined by the standards of their specific health profession.
Experience or Training:
5 years of clinical related work and 3‑5 years of experience with interprofessional settings; previous experience in higher education and/or an academic health center setting preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development, coordination, dissemination, implementation, and assessment of all foundational IPE courses (5000 and 6000 level courses).
Serve as the Lebanon campus‑based IPE team member.
Assist with the development of activities, research, presentations, and publications for future IPE projects and development.
Participate in conducting research for dissemination (presentations and/or publications) related to IPE.
Complete all other IPE‑related tasks assigned by the IPE Program Director.
Work Schedule
0.50 FTE; days/hours determined by Director of IPE.
Oregon‑based position.

Describe Work Environment:
The role includes remote duties performed in a home office and in‑person duties that may involve long periods of standing and audience engagement. During academic semesters, 60% in‑person; otherwise a 50/50 split. The individual should be flexible and comfortable using non‑assigned on‑campus work spaces and commuting between campuses as needed.
Pay Transparency Minimum and maximum salary are both $72,000 annually. The expected pay scale is the budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
Background Check Successful fulfillment of a background check, including a criminal records check, is required. Western University of Health Sciences will extend a conditional offer subject to rescission if disqualifying information is uncovered.
