Atwood & McCall, PLLC, is actively seeking an energetic, initiative-taker, motivated Senior Attorney for our growing Estate Planning practice with 7+ years’ experience. Our firm’s diverse practice areas, including corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and employee benefits, provide comprehensive solutions for our estate planning clients, going beyond traditional estate planning. Essential Functions: Manage complex matters independently from beginning to end. Monitor matters, calendars, and deadlines; oversee tracking of deadlines and time-sensitive tasks. Utilize our client management policies and procedures and log your time entries as you perform legal services and client relationship-building activities. Bill a required minimum of 1500 hours (billed and collected) each year. Review client invoices to ensure accuracy as well as efficient management of matters. Spread the word about our firm and the services we provide our clients by engaging in marketing activities, including networking and events. Desire to engage in self-improvement and develop your expertise and skills through professional development, CLE, seminars, and workshops. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio) is a plus. Comply with all federal, state, county, and local laws and rules, legal standards, codes, and regulations. Successful Candidate Will Have: Collegial, driven, detail oriented and who has a passion for and takes full ownership of creating estate planning solutions for clients to protect their families, minimize taxes, and protect their assets. Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence when interacting with clients. Appreciation for firm processes and procedures in the Estate Planning practice. Ability to work well with other attorneys and paralegals. Extensive experience with foundational estate planning documents, e.g., wills, RLT’s, POA’s, etc. Extensive experience in working with high-net-worth clients and the tools used to help them accomplish their goals, including FLP’s, SLATS, ILITS, IDGT’s, estate tax freezes, etc. Extensive experience working with complex family structures, including blended families and complex estate distribution plans. A strong tax background is a must with an LLM in tax strongly preferred. A book of business is a plus. Join Our Team:
