Senior Recruiter- Accounting & Finance | Indianapolis & Louisville
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Payroll Manager
to oversee and manage the payroll functions of our organization. This role ensures accurate processing of payroll, compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and timely reporting. The Payroll Manager will lead payroll operations, implement best practices, and collaborate with HR and Finance to support employee compensation and benefits. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract staff. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Maintain and update payroll systems and records. Review and validate payroll data, including timekeeping, deductions, and benefits. Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal stakeholders. Handle payroll tax filings and year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s, 1099s). Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment on compensation and benefits. Lead audits and implement controls to ensure payroll accuracy and security. Stay current with changes in payroll legislation and best practices. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience, including oversight of large-scale (4,000+ employees), multi-state payrolls. 5+ years of leadership experience within payroll. Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. Working Conditions: Hybrid-
