Clinical Details:
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Call Structure: Approximately 1:4
Responsibilities: Floor/ED/ICU/emergent consults and endoscopies as needed
Carry Beeper: Overnight
Generally go to the hospital for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday to see some consults Do not need to stay in the hospital Very rare occasion to go into the hospital during off hours
Average Number of Hospital-Based Patients Per Day: 4-12 EMR: EPIC Locum to perm available Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro, endoscopy Onsite lab and x-ray Consults per day: 2-5 with some follow ups Will be scheduled with routine colonoscopies and endoscopies Monday through Friday
Several empty blocks to see new consults and add cases to the daily schedule and will also see routine consults during the day
Requirements: Board Certified - Preferred
Board Eligible
Active Massachusetts License BLS Certification ERCP Certification - Preferred Required Procedures: Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry, Esophageal Manometry Interpretation, Small Bowel Biopsy, Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Liver Biopsy Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy: With Biopsy, With Foreign Body Removal, With Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), With Injection of Varices, With Banding of Varices, Diagnostic, Therapeutic, With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
