Reports To Director of Pediatrics
Summary The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse practices medicine under a collaborative agreement with a departmental physician, with both disciplines practicing within the scope and boundaries of State regulations. Provides reasonable and prudent medical/surgical care, practices appropriate management, and uses sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidence-based medicine. Provides general medical care, patient education, and treatment to patients of CS‑HHC. Promotes and maintains health by providing services under the supervision of the Department Chief/Physician.
Qualifications
MSN degree and current CT RN/APRN licensure.
CPR certification required.
One year of experience as a health care provider preferred; new graduates welcome.
HRSA loan repayment agency status received.
Continuing education credits to advance learning opportunities and maintain your professional license.
Per Diem Requirements The position requires flexible availability from Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with shifts of up to 8 hours per day during the week as needed. Responsibilities include providing coverage for colleagues’ sick days and vacation time. To maintain a Per Diem status, the APRN must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, not to exceed 19 hours per week.
