Director of Operations
We have been retained by a well-established and rapidly expanding industrial manufacturing company to recruit a highly capable Director of Operations who can strengthen and scale a high-mix, precision-oriented production environment. This opportunity is ideal for a hands‑on operational leader who thrives in complex manufacturing and knows how to build structure, accountability, and performance discipline within a growing organization.
Base Pay Range $140,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

As the Director of Operations, you will oversee all day‑to‑day manufacturing activities, including production, scheduling, quality alignment, maintenance coordination, and workflow optimization. You will lead supervisors and team leads while reinforcing lean principles, enhancing visual management, and strengthening consistency across the plant.
You will be expected to make an immediate impact – streamlining communication routines, maturing KPI reporting, assessing capability gaps, and driving execution. This role requires a leader with strong operational intuition, a structured approach to problem‑solving, and the ability to lead from the floor as well as from a strategic viewpoint.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily plant operations across production, scheduling, and cross‑functional coordination
Improve throughput, on‑time delivery, and efficiency using lean principles and structured problem‑solving
Strengthen supervision and frontline leadership through coaching, accountability, and clarity of purpose
Enhance KPI dashboards, daily management routines, and performance visibility
Partner with quality and engineering to ensure process stability, product integrity, and continuous improvement
Support long‑term capacity planning, equipment utilization, and operational scalability
Drive a culture of safety, engagement, and ownership throughout the operation
Qualifications
Proven experience leading manufacturing operations in a high‑mix, precision machining, molding, or component‑driven environment
Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements using lean methodologies or similar structured systems
Track record of developing supervisors and frontline leaders in fast‑paced production settings
Strong analytical, communication, and team‑building skills
Hands‑on leadership approach with the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
