Save Job

(San Francisco preferred • Hybrid • NYC considered for exceptional candidates)

Are you looking for a role where your work actually matters—where each conversation, each outbound message, each deal closed becomes a visible part of the company’s trajectory?

A fast‑growing, seed‑funded startup in the

data lineage and governance

space is hiring its

second Account Executive . This is a rare moment: stepping into a company just as it accelerates toward its Series A, with a product already loved by modern data teams and adopted by both high‑growth tech companies and global enterprises.

If you’ve ever wanted to be early—but not

too

early—this is that perfect window.

Why This Role Is Different (Read This Closely) Most AEs join teams with layers of process, playbooks, and politics. This is not that role.

You’ll be stepping into a company that has:

A modern, differentiated product solving an

urgent, expensive pain

Customers ranging from high‑scale tech to Fortune 100 giants

A founder‑led GTM motion that’s now hitting its bandwidth limits

An exploding pipeline that needs a seasoned, sharp, outbound‑strong AE to capture the upside

And you will be directly responsible for shaping what comes next.

This is not “just another AE role.” It is the kind of role that becomes a career-defining chapter—if you’re the kind of seller who knows how to seize it.

What You’ll Do (Your Zone of Impact)

Own

full‑cycle

deals from prospecting → qualification → POCs → close

Generate

~50%

of your pipeline through outbound (LinkedIn, calls, email)

Sell into

data organizations : CDOs, Heads of Data Engineering, Analytics leaders

Lead thoughtful, structured discovery conversations that map technical pains to business impact

Communicate a complex value proposition with clarity and confidence

Partner closely with the founders on enterprise opportunities

Influence positioning, pricing, playbooks, and the future sales organization

Trailblaze the GTM motion that future AEs will learn from

If you’ve been waiting for a seat where your selling instincts, technical fluency, and outbound discipline actually move the needle—here it is.

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are… A hunter with discipline.

You know how to self‑source, you do it consistently, and you treat outbound as a craft—not a chore.

Fluent in the data ecosystem.

You’ve sold data infra, BI, governance, quality, lineage, observability, or adjacent tooling. You understand pipelines, stakeholders, and how data actually moves.

Comfortable with ambiguity.

You see the blank space as opportunity. You don’t need someone to hand you a playbook—you help write it.

A clear communicator.

You can translate complex concepts into simple value props that resonate with both technical and executive buyers.

Hungry for impact.

You want to help build an iconic company, not just join one.

If your background includes companies like

Collibra, Alation, Monte Carlo, Datafold, Atlan, Manta, dbt Labs, Sigma, Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran , or similar data‑focused platforms—this will feel like home.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 6 Months

You consistently generate pipeline through a multi‑channel outbound motion

You run crisp, professional discovery meetings that impress senior technical stakeholders

You close mid‑market deals and begin building enterprise momentum

You become the “go‑to” expert for articulating the space, the problem, and the differentiator

You meaningfully influence GTM process, messaging, and strategy

You become indispensable.
