Network Engineer L3
role at
Wipro
focuses on the administration and management of Wipro’s LAN & WAN infrastructure worldwide. This position is part of the Global Network Project Implementation Team and supports a range of network projects across the organization.
Responsibilities
Administration and management of Wipro LAN & WAN networks globally.
Implementation and configuration of routers, switches, NMS tools, Wi‑Fi devices, and other network equipment (primarily Cisco, with occasional Avaya/Brocade).
Configure and harden network devices according to guidelines and project requirements.
Provide troubleshooting for network and security issues within defined project scopes.
Design and implement network infrastructure for new Offshore Development Centers (ODC) and enterprise projects, ensuring security, redundancy, and compliance with ISO 20000 & 27001 and Wipro IRMC guidelines.
Set up and manage MPLS connections, client‑to‑site VPNs, site‑to‑site VPNs, and other connectivity solutions.
Coordinate with ISPs, clients, and onsite technical teams for P2P, MPLS, VPN, and other links; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Validate technical feasibility of network design plans submitted by the design team, offering recommendations.
Lead and participate in SOC calls and outage resolutions until resolution.
Qualifications
CYNP or equivalent certifications, with approximately 5 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), MPLS (VRF), switching protocols, STP, QoS, and network monitoring tools.
Experience in implementing SLA‑compliant network solutions and managing capacity, change, and incident procedures.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience 3–5 years in a similar network engineering role.
Compensation $45,000 – $110,000 (dependent on location, experience, and market factors).
