Compensation:
$200K - $250K+ DOE
Requirement:
5+ years of PIC Design, Active Silicon Photonic Component Design
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Silicon Photonics Design Engineer to focus on the design and development of active photonic components. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our innovative photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and contribute to cutting‑edge projects in silicon photonics.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop active photonic devices including Mach‑Zehnder modulators, ring modulators, and high‑speed photodiodes.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate active components into larger photonic circuits.
Conduct simulations and modeling to optimize device performance and reliability.
Oversee the fabrication process of silicon photonic components and ensure quality control.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Proven experience in silicon photonics and photonic integrated circuit design.
Strong background in active photonic devices and their fabrication processes.
Familiarity with simulation tools for photonic design and analysis.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
