Overview
A global real estate investment firm is seeking a Capital Markets Associate to join its Washington, DC office. This newly created role will support the firm’s capital markets and investor relations functions, with a particular focus on fund administration, investor communications, and fundraising operations. The position will work closely with senior team members, including the current Associate, to ensure seamless investor servicing and capital markets execution.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to gain exposure to both the investment and investor sides of a global real estate platform, supporting institutional and retail capital raising efforts across multiple geographies and asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage fund documentation, investor portals, and data rooms in coordination with fund administrators.
Oversee investor onboarding logistics, capital account tracking, distribution notices, and compliance materials.
Act as a liaison between investors and fund administration channels to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Support senior team members in managing investor relationships across institutional, HNW, family office, RIA, and broker‑dealer channels.
Maintain CRM systems and track fundraising pipelines.
Coordinate logistics for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
Prepare pitch books, DDQs, and other due diligence materials.
Reporting & Communications
Draft and distribute quarterly investor reports, fund updates, newsletters, and ad‑hoc communications.
Assist in the creation of marketing materials for funds and portfolio companies.
Organize investor events and manage related communications and follow‑ups.
Marketing & Platform Support
Serve as a primary point of contact for investor inquiries.
Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all external materials.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to support capital markets operations.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
2–5 years of experience in real estate investment, investment banking, private equity, fund administration or similar field.
Exposure to investor relations or capital markets preferred.
Strong understanding of fund structures, investor reporting, and private equity operations.
Skills & Attributes
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/data management platforms (e.g., DocSend, Salesforce).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Detail‑oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
Comfortable participating in investor meetings and following up professionally.
