Job Overview The Neuroscience Translational Research Division (NTRD) is looking for a full‑time Research Laboratory Technician II to support translational research. Under the supervision of the Lab Director, the incumbent will perform a variety of laboratory procedures involving protein chemistry and molecular biology, and build research skills while working both independently and as a reliable team member.
Responsibilities
Perform moderate to complex laboratory procedures, including media formulation, microbiological material growth, and ELISA plate testing with high‑quality results.
Maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
Prepare tissue samples and perform IHC staining.
Assist in data analysis and interpretation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life‑sciences field (combined experience and education may substitute for minimum educational requirements).
Four years of prior laboratory experience performing standard research techniques and operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Recent experience with IHC staining and tissue sample preparation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols; ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
Compensation Hourly rate range: $24.46 – $30.14.
